August[edit | edit source]

  • Unknown: Ralph H. Baer, whilst waiting for a bus, remembers his earlier concept of a home video game console.

December[edit | edit source]

  • Unknown: Ralph H. Baer, with help from Bob Tremblay, builds the initial prototype of the Brown Box, then known as "TV Game #1", which could display and move a vertical line on the TV screen. The Brown Box prototype would later become the Magnavox Odyssey.
